PhD applicants for 2024/25 may be interested to learn that we are part of a new Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) for Superconductivity, together with colleagues in Bristol and Oxford. Superconductivity is a multi-disciplinary research theme, which includes engineers, material scientists, as well as experimental, theoretical and computational physicists. The CDT will bring together cohorts of about 14 students per year for joint training, while they are starting out on their projects within the participating research groups.
More information is becoming available on the central CDT website, and on the internal website of the Department of Physics.
There will be an in-person open day in Cambridge in the afternoon of 3 December.
