After it had to be cancelled last year due to lockdown restrictions, our annual start-of-year Curry Night could fortunately be resumed this year. Summing up the 2020 and 2021 seasons, we are happy to welcome our new PhD students Gilles Rodway-Gant, Nicholas Popiel, Ken Heng Teoh, Zheyu Wu, and Jessica Chapman in the Sebastian group, Xiaotian Zhang in the Saxena group, Camilla Tacconis, Chumei Ye and Juejun Xue in the Dutton group and Christian de Podesta, Oliver Squire, Maximilian Daschner and Theo Weinberger in the Grosche group. Our new postdoc Kalaiselvan Ganesan will be joining the Sebastian group.
Our new Master's students Noah Matthew Meyer (Saxena group), Srinivas Mandyam, and Radoslaw Kaleba (Grosche group) will stay for a year and perhaps return as PhD students next year.
Furthermore, we would like to congratulate our (soon-to-be) doctor Hsu Liu. Puthipong Worasaran and Alexander Hickey are on track but have a few more hurdles to clear ...
